The Accelerando String Quartet is a group of young string musicians who have been playing together for five years. They are all students at the CIT Cork School of Music where they meet weekly for chamber music tuition with Adrian Petcu. The quartet has regularly featured in the National Concert Hall series ‘Music in the Foyer’. In Feis Maitiú Cork 2013 they were First Prize winners in the under 15 Chamber Music Competition and came 3rd in the equivalent under 18 competition in 2014.
